Procedure for submitting a publication proposal to the LUT PH
The Lublin University of Technology Publishing House (LUT PH) makes every effort to ensure that published works are of a high scientific and editorial standard. They also should be prepared in accordance with the principles of publishing ethics of the Comittee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Authors and Editors interested in publishing with the LUT PH are requested to read our "Publishing policy" and "About us" and follow the guidelines below.
Scientific monographs:
- The completed submission of a publication proposal for review (download form) should be submitted to your Head of the Unit and the Head of the Discipline for approval.
- In the suggested reviewers form (download form), you can provide up to five potential reviewers for your publication, along with their email contacts, affiliations and, if they have them, ORCID numbers. Please note that they should meet the requirements listed under the "Review procedure" tab.
- In case of failure to attach the suggested reviewers form, the Head of the Discipline will identify them independently.
- Submissions approved by the Head of the Unit and Head of the Discipline, including the submission of a publication proposal for review and suggested reviewers form, should be sent as scans, attaching the finished publication in .doc and .pdf formats, to the address of the Secretary of the Scientific Council of the LUT PH, Magdalena Chołojczyk PhD: m.cholojczyk@pollub.pl.
- Submissions of publication proposals and suggested reviewers forms will be forwarded to the Head of the Discipline, who will take into account the suggestions of the author(s) or identify reviewers independently.
- The Head of the Discipline will present the submission of the publication proposal and suggested reviewers form to the LUT PH Scientific Council for approval.
- Once the submission has been accepted and the reviewers have been approved by the LUT PH Scientific Council, the further review process will be conducted by the LUT PH.
-
The review procedure is held under the rules of confidentiality. During this period, the content and conclusions of the reviews remain confidential to all outsiders, including the author(s).
-
After the complete set of reviews required by the procedure is collected and approved by the Publisher, they will be forwarded to the author(s) and all persons involved in the proceedings.
-
The author(s) of the publication proposal are committed to include the reviewer's comments in their work. However, if they disagree with the suggested changes, they should address them in a written response.
- Author(s), when deciding on the number of print runs, should include author's copies and 15 copies for the Centre of Scientific and Technical Information.
Textbooks and workbooks:
The publishing house will carry out the publishing process only for textbooks included in the Rector's Student Affairs Pro-Quality Program, according to the regulations. All the dates specified in the regulations are deadlines. Please contact the Publishing House as soon as you receive textbook approval to discuss further details.
